Graphic 45 Playtime Past.

Hi there everybody here is another fantastic swap with Bona at http://keeponscrappin.blogspot.com/
This was so fun as I did my best to make it as boy-ish as possible.
Here is the details of the swap by Bona:

*Shape~ Square and Size 4" x 4"
* Challenge~ Boy Mini~ Distress (Ink,Powder, etc.)
* Please be sure to incorporate both sides of the design papers on each page.
* At least one embellishment on each page (ribbon, charm, etc.)
* One page will need to include a pocket with a tag for journaling
* Please leave at least an 1/2" space on the left side for binding
* Use medium weight chipboard
* Place your name somewhere on the page so we all know who's work it is.
* Anything goes as long as you use both sides of the design paper.

This is my cover

I left a good bit of space for a photo, I kept the colors very simple.

I love the little metal corners and thought it suited this page quite well.

I wanted to page to be very playful so a put a 'boy flower' a lace flower and a fan.

The back with a pocket and tag.

This was my tag - I wanted to it to be very dirty and messy (just as boys are) with loads of textures, I used Glimmer mist, ranger crackle paint, acrylic paint and distress inks.

I hope all you ladies like your pages and
please feel free to give some feedback or leave a comment.

June Mini Page Swap

Hay
This is my pages for the June Mini Page swap hosted by Bona from Keep on Scrappin. It was such a fun and hard challenge, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. The challenge was to use Graphic 45 paper and make a 4"x4" mini page, we were to use lace and Roses. My page design was Sweetheart of Mine.

This is the front page, I used gold acrylic paint on the edges, Glimmer mist a doily with tea rose, made the rose 'Tim Holz' style, well I try ed, I love pearls and jewelry so I made a mini pearl necklace. It was definitely inspired by the paper, its so vintage girly.

This is the back. I made some pockets for tags, and crackled on the side. I used two types of lace layered over each other. This paper had so many gorgeous images.

This my tag, I stamped it with a stamp that says 'hope' and the pained metallic gold over the whole tag, it dried a bit and then wiped some if it of with a wet wipe. Just a little experiment.

Lastly my rabbit Stewi wanted to be part of the challenge so he ate a good bit of one of my gorgeous pages, here is the evidence. He loves paper.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you feel inspired and please leave a comment.

June Tag Swap

Hi Everyone my June tag swap that I did with Arlene http://butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com/ is done and I had such a great time
doing them.

I made a vintage kind of post card, I used a bit of crackle paint (my favourite at the moment I try to crackle every project) and distress the edges. I love this vintage Woman it just feels like she is saying 'Bonne Journee'.
There is a little Eiffel Tower charm at the top of the pearl string.

This is the back I've put in a pocket for a tag.

This is my attempt of Marion's Lace flower, she did a tutorial on her show A Piece Of Craft.
This is the link to her show, http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/5841747. Mine needs a bit of practise still.
I dyed them a bit in rooibos tea (a south African Tea) so give them a bit of a red tea dye look, and the glimmer mist them to give a bit of sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by.

My First Mini Album

This mini will be about me and childhood sweetheart. We grew up together and lived across the road from each other. He is still my best friend, and now also my husband.
I still have to put a few images and journaling.
